Product Integration | Channel Advisor

Introduction

This article has been written to aide with setting up the Kornit X Product integration with the Channel Advisor platform. This type of integration allows you to send products from the platform to Channel Advisor connected via the advanced settings of your product categories. 

Please note that "Export only" in the title refers to products being exported from our platform into their own system, in this case Channel Advisor. 
An existing account with Channel Advisor will be needed to enable this integration, without this the integration is not going to work, To enquire with using Channel Advisor please refer to the following link - Click Here. Please note support from Channel Advisor will be assigned to you as they will take a look at your product data and advise on what areas need to be updated. 

How To Prepare Categories For Integration Setup

The first step here is to locate the category of which you want to set this integration, naming the parent category "Channel Advisor Integration" would be a good starting point so its clear what the category is. To set the integration imply click the category and the menu below will be shown.

With the integrations simply click into the integrations and select "Channel Advisor (Export Only)" from the list as shown below. 

We would advise creating a category structure exclusively for the product you are planning to send to Channel Advisor, with this sorting it will be easier within Platform to add products to the relevant categories. Details Needed To Enable Integration

Before the integration has been properly enabled you must enter the following details listed below. These details will be available from your Channel Advisor Sync account and must match this within the settings. 
  1. Application ID
  2. Password
  3. Refresh Token
Once these details have been added, simply save the integration and this will be saved. There are additional settings that can be enabled, we have detailed the meaning behind each one in the below table.

This option should be enabled if the integration needs to be tested first, we suggest this used before properly enabling this integration as this ensures the products will pass to Channel Advisor. 
Vary By Attributes

Vary By attributes refers to an attribute system used on the Channel Advisor front end, one which has been detailed in their own documentation here. Within the platform here you can list the vary by attributes with a comma to separate each one, this will target this set of attributes when added to Channel Advisor. 
Use Modern Pricing
Toggle
The modern pricing toggle should be enabled if you are using the latest version of pricing within Channel Advisor. This is a field to check with your Channel Advisor contact as this depends on the age of your relationship with them, legacy pricing will be used if not. 
Update Products From Category ID

This field needs to be set to send continuous product updates over to the Channel Advisor domain. For this field please add the category ID of which you are setting this integration as this will take into account any sub categories. 
Category Mapping

The category mapping here should be created so that as soon as products arrive into the Channel Advisor domain they will map into the category their side. To do so, simply take the sub category ID from the platform of your category setting this integration and assign it to the category name within Channel Advisor. For example, this should be "CATEGORYID->Men's T-Shirt" for each line of sub categories which must be comma separated. This has been documented by Channel Advisor here
